About Me

From a young age, I knew I wanted to be a businesswoman. I envisioned myself in power suits, heels, and achieving success in the corporate world. Though the specifics remained unclear, a career in business was my calling.
My parents, both hard working entrepreneurs, heavily influenced my path. My mom, a natural event planner and DJ, built a business from scratch. Starting with wooden carnival games crafted by my entrepreneurial grandpa, her venture blossomed into karaoke hosting, DJ services for weddings and events, and a party rental empire complete with sound systems, mini-golf, and all the fun extras. My dad, a successful mortgage banker, built a thriving brokerage before the 2008 recession forced him to rebuild. Witnessing their dedication, tenacity, and work ethic instilled a deep admiration in me and a determination to succeed.
Like many high school graduates, I pursued a college degree. Initially a pre-nursing major at Boise State University, I discovered nursing wasn't my passion after a year and a half. Still unsure of my career path, I enlisted in the US Navy in 2012, seeking adventure, self-discovery, and new experiences. During my service as a Naval Aircrewman (Acoustic Operator) aboard P-8A Poseidon aircraft, I gained invaluable experience in who I wanted to become as leader and as a person. It was during this time that my then-husband and I decided to start a family, leading me to transition from active duty.
The civilian world brought renewed uncertainty about my career path. Fortunately, my dad, while rebuilding his career, discovered Symmetry Financial Group (SFG). Intrigued by the opportunity, I attended one of their national conferences in Raleigh, NC. Despite initial reservations about the insurance industry, the company's incredible culture and people won me over. "This is my chance!" I thought, finally aligning with my childhood dream of becoming a business professional. I obtained my insurance license and joined SFG full-time in March 2018, determined to succeed.
Fast forward to today, I'm a single mom of two who has earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Management with a minor in Entrepreneurship, all online. As an Agency Director at SFG, I've not only written nearly $1 million in annual premium myself but also lead a fantastic team. Together, we've achieved over $6 million in annual premium on 6,200 applications with 124 agents and are on track to supersede $1 million in annual premium just this year.
Through this journey, I discovered my true passion: helping bridge the gap in financial literacy. Working with countless families, I was surprised by the lack of knowledge hindering their financial success and became passionate and determined to create a level playing field for all to succeed.
This lack of knowledge is especially concerning for millennials like myself. We're witnessing the largest wealth transfer in history, yet we lack the financial tools to capitalize on it. As the baby boomer generation retires and sells businesses, a portion of their wealth becomes available. It's our chance to seize this opportunity and use it to make a positive impact.
Let's bridge the gap together. Join me as I guide you through this wealth of knowledge with Summit Up Financial.
